On Apr 14, 2018, Home minister Rajnath Singh launched an ‘e-FRRO’ app, it is a web-based application for foreign tourists, who are looking for online Indian visa related services, the best part of this services are, it is cashless as well as paperless.
The benefit of this app is that all Foreigner tourists visiting India will no longer need to visit the Foreigners Registration Office or the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRO/FRRO) for any type of visa-related services, (i.e for registration and visa extension), All they will get under single roof through the e-FRRO platform.
Through this app, foreigners will able to get online 27 visa and immigration-related services to India from their home places. Foreigners can avail these services through email/post without appearing personally FRO/FRRO.
This application contains few steps to login, in first step foreigners need to create a user ID by doing registration of themselves. In a second step, they can apply online through registered user ID for various visa and immigration-related services in India like registration, visa extension, visa conversion, exit permit etc. The e-FRRO scheme has been running successfully in four FRROs (Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai) since February 12. But now, it has been rolled out in Kolkata, Amritsar, Hyderabad, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Lucknow and Ahmedabad
. The home ministry had been launched this services to provide fast and efficient services to foreigners visiting India, and enjoy their holidays/ visit hassle free and had a pleasant stay. Now Foreigners Can Extended Visa Online through e-FRRO

Step1: Complete the online application by providing your passport details.
Step2: Submit payment online using a credit card.
Step3: Monitor your email for confirmation of payment and receipt of your eVisa, which will be sent electronically.
