A major relief for travellers in Canada, the Indian High Commission in Ottawa on Tuesday announced the restoration of the e-Visa facility for Canadian passport holders.

"Indian e-Visa facility for Canadian passport-holders has been restored, with effect from 20 December 2022," the Indian High Commission in Ottawa said in a statement. Those Canadian passport-holders who wish to visit India for tourism, business, medical or conference purposes. Can apply for e-Visa online here and follow instructions contained therein, it added.

Citizens of Canada can complete their application using this form to obtaining a 5 Years Tourist eVisa to India, all visa application from Canada will be processed within 3 to 10 days as normal process or Process within 1 to 3 days if appy under Urgent process.

5 Years Tourist Visa Detail

• The 5 Years Tourist visa that has a validity of 5 years allows a 180 days maximum stay each time.
• eVisa is valid for a multiple entries.

At the port of entry, the immigration officer may allow you to stay for less or more according to your passport validity or other documents.

• Colored passport-sized photograph
